Yeah, I have a ways to go before I can make something presentable with this technique.

All in due time.

it looks to me like you drew a tropical area undergoing a hurricane. those two corn stalks look more like some sort of plant that we don't have in more temperate areas, and the popped bubbles look like they could be large hailstones.

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?
wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

Made another attempt this morning. (up until I ran out of turpentine)

Same canvas, I just smeared out last night's image, and worked right over the top.

Just finished this thing, managed to thin out the paints with linseed oil, and managed to clean the brushes in between layers with soap and water.

I'm digging those layers of trees. The front tree on the left side could do with more contrast, though.
Course clear! You got a card.

Thanks! :)

And yeah, I have to agree with you about the contrast on the one on the left. that one gave me a good deal of trouble.

Also:
Boiled Linseed oil, which I was using instead of turpentine to dilute the paints, has sped up the drying process greatly.
It would appear that instead of taking the expected 3 weeks, It may be dry within 6 days.

I would like to note something for anyone who might be reading this.
Linseed oil is NOT something to be taken lightly, especially with the fire hazard involved.

I like the fallen tree over the waterfall, and you obviously can't go wrong with dreamy drawings of The Kirb.
