This is where I am showing off my creative works of art.

http://postimage.org/image/4uxd9oie1/ A WIP tileset complimation featuring two tilesets I have currently made. What you see is my Forestial Heights tileset (named after World 1-9 and uses the tileset seen at the top) and the Rocky Grassland tileset (Uses a revamped SMB2J ground tile as a base).

I will make more when I have the time.

It looks pretty good, but it needs some touching up. The top one is obviously based on smb2 tilesets. Unfortunately, it doesn't really add anything else. It lacks shading and a light source.
As for the second one, you have a lot of banding on the grass and pillow shading on the rocks. It makes it look quite unnatural. Again, it lacks a light source.
Other than that, there's just nothing special that makes this typeset pop out as being unique in the sea of grassland tilesets that exists. Work on adding some flair, and it could be a great tileset!

Actually, the top one is based off that level exlcusive platform found in World 3 of SMB3. I can agree that the top tileset does indeeed need to be touched up.

The bottom one, however, I kinda dont need to update it. I mean, the grass part is appparently made by Koyuki which apparently applied some shading in the grass to make it more compatable for a SMAS graphical fangame/ROM-Hack. I had the grass part recolored to be more green however. The rocky ground is seen in SMB2J, that I use as the base, which, I dont see the need to make the outline of a different color since I have seen it revamped, used in some Mario ROM-hack (ex: Super Mario Omega) as a tileset on its own without the need to change the color of the outline.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

Unfortunately, it doesn't make it good just because someone else made it and used it on a rom hack.
My complaint about the grass is that it is banded, which means that the shades are lined up in rows, which looks somewhat unappealing.
As for the rocks, I wasn't suggesting that you change the outline. They are pillow-shaded, which means that it looks like the lightsource is coming from directly in front of the object. This shading 'technique' should really never be used, as doesn't look good.

Okay, so I wont make the same mistake someone did. Expect an update in a few days. I need to get my computer issues out of the way first.

Tileset is almost complete. I just need to make a few more crystal formations.

If you want to use this tileset, PM me and we'll negotiate.

The wide crystal on the far right needs more work, but otherwise this tileset looks cool - in more ways than one!
