I played Game Party 2 last nighthttps://bibbyteam.jaxboards.com/index.php?act=vt1691Bibby:https://bibbyteam.jaxboards.com/index.php?act=vt1691&findpost=1

It's the only piece of Wii "shovelware" I own, and yesterday was the first time I ever played it.

It is not the greatest game of all time. However, it's mildly fun when you're playing with someone else. The minigames I tried were at least playable, and they're accessible to players of varying skill levels. I'm sure I'll be playing it every day for hours on end for the rest of my life.

Or not. We'll see.

The game would've been more fun with Miis instead of the "make your own avatar" thingies with limited options. Also, all of the outfits available just scream "2008 MySpace profile picture"!

You can still buy it at Walmart for $48.99, which is probably more expensive than when it first came out in 2008. I have no idea.1Sun, 07 Jun 2020 13:23:30 +0000Nite:https://bibbyteam.jaxboards.com/index.php?act=vt1691&findpost=52Sometimes shovelware can be good though. it just depends on the audience that it randomly happened to land on.

It's hard to believe that Midway, one of the companies behind Mortal Kombat, did this.
52Thu, 02 Jul 2020 20:18:07 +0000fireball3k:https://bibbyteam.jaxboards.com/index.php?act=vt1691&findpost=104i feel that way about a lot of the games that midway made, honestly. it's hard to believe you had ms. pac man and mortal kombat being released by the same publisher decades apart.104Wed, 15 Jul 2020 03:07:18 +0000Mario:https://bibbyteam.jaxboards.com/index.php?act=vt1691&findpost=19 What's the story behind that being the only piece of Wii software you own? One of the biggest criticisms of the Wii was that a significant chunk of its library consisted of hastily-made games that pounced on the novelty of motion controls. Fortunately, there was some great stuff on the Wii - and Game Party 2 isn't the best game in my own Wii library!1Wed, 26 Aug 2020 23:14:12 +0000Sat, 16 Jan 2021 15:41:46 +0000
