I made a few levels of a game about 20 years ago that I called Puzzle Man. It's a 2D platformer where you push around boxes onto switches to make doors move. When I first wrote it, I did so using the built-in movements that came with The Games Factory and Multimedia Fusion, meaning it didn't control well. I backed up some old files recently, and I found the source files for the old version of the game, so I fixed it up some and ported it to Rage's Platform Movement engine. I now have a demo with two levels to share, more as a test of the game's engine rather than a showcase of any content I've created.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/di5w9w5i4y1ezbi/Puzzle+Man+RPM.zip/file will take you to a MediaFire page that'll let you download the game in a ZIP file. Technically, this game supports both the keyboard and an Xbox 360 controller, but as of right now, I've only tried playing the game with the keyboard. The controls are as follows:

Z- jump. You can double jump by pressing Z again, and you can spam the jump sound by mashing the key if you like.
X- run. This function is going to go bye-bye sometime in the future, because I don't like having a run button in my games.
Hold a direction toward a wall when you're falling right next to it- wall cling.
Press jump while wall clinging- wall jump. Works like Mega Man X, meaning you can climb a single wall by repeatedly jumping off of it. This is supposed to refresh your double jump, but as of this build, it doesn't do that.
Double tap Left or Right in the air- air dash. Right now, this isn't really that useful, but I'm keeping it in because I love these kinds of moves that're inspired by fighting games. Still, you can do it multiple times before you touch the ground... but I think you need to change direction in mid-air to be able to do that.

Try it if you want. Let me know what you think if you do.

EDIT: If you want to reconfigure the controls, press Control and Y on the keyboard together at the same time. You can then click on the checkbox in column 1, row "Keyboard" to bring up the control menu.

Control binds:
Fire 1- Jump
Fire 2- Run
Fire 3- nothing, yet
Fire 4- nothing, yet

Also, if you get stuck, hit the R key on your keyboard to restart the level at any time. This isn't something that can be rebound yet.

So what can be superior when compared with paying out half the price for brand name children?

wow, if brand name children are on sale, maybe i can stop buying all these cheap knockoff children

OK... even I'll admit that the Oakland Raiders' performance might be a valid reason to use the interesting words.

It's off to a good start - I'm looking forward to seeing more Puzzle Man DXing! I like the psychedelic backgrounds.

Box collisions could use some tweaking. Also, I'd suggest adding a sound effect for when you push a block or (especially) when a block connects with a switch.
Course clear! You got a card.

The box collisions could definitely be tweaked. They're running on pretty old code compared to everything else in the game. I could definitely add some sound effects for the blocks and the switches, too.

Thank you for playing it!
